Being a mother was something I always dreamed of. I knew in my heart I was meant to be a mother, yet when my husband and I decided to start trying, we didn’t expect the journey ahead. It was a journey full of excitement and hope, disappointments, laughter, sadness and joy that gave us the best two little miracles we ever could have hoped for.
Getting pregnant was quite a struggle. We found there were some issues and had to start fertility treatments. We went through treatment after treatment, every month hoping this time around we’ll see the two lines on the stick, but keeping our hope and faith for the next month every time it was just one. Following our doctor’s recommendation, we decided to try IVF. The process was not easy, physically but mostly emotionally. When the time came, we asked for two embryos to be put back. We knew from the beginning we wanted twins, and hoped with all our hearts for both embryos to thrive.
Success! We were finally pregnant with twins. We were over the moon with joy but had no idea of what will follow. The pregnancy was a difficult one. I went in and out of the hospital and was put on bed rest about 3 months before giving birth. I even scheduled a maternity and newborn session with It’s a Miracle Photography (after getting raving reviews) but as things don’t always work as we plan them, at 27 weeks I was hospitalized for the duration of my pregnancy and we had to cancel the maternity shoot. Bracha was truly amazing and supportive throughout and we were looking forward to having a newborn session with our twins.
I gave birth at 31 weeks to our two beautiful girls, Sara & Abigail, who were born via an emergency C-Section. They were tiny and were rushed to the NICU where they stayed for another 6 very long weeks. It wasn’t easy, going back and forth and every time leaving our girls behind, and even though the staff were amazing, we couldn’t wait to take our girls home with us. The day finally came and we brought them home, we knew this was the beginning of our life as a family! Our two little miracles were here with us and what better way to celebrate then to create our first memories in a beautiful photography session? About 5 weeks after we brought them home, we all met with Bracha and it was a truly amazing experience! Bracha (and Shoshana) were so professional yet compassionate and caring for us and girls and we couldn’t be happier with the photographs we had. After our long and challenging journey tp parenthood, It’s a Miracle Photography helped capture the beautiful family we became and our two personal little miracles!
