This July the mother baby unit at GSH will be displaying new artwork to deck it's hallways. Handmade framed canvases showcasing newborn babies from It's a Miracle Photography are currently in production.
The images being showcased are a collection of newborn babies from within and around Rockland County. A model call was done to create unique and beautiful imagery special for this project.
Shown below are some behind the scenes of these canvases being created. These are museum quality, handmade canvases complete with hand painted clear acrylic brush stroking and multiple layers of laquer. They are made with the highest level of craftsmanship that’s been perfected over the past 50 years. The final canvas is so thick and durable you can even clean it with windex!
This project is particularly meaningful for me, beyond the regular excitement of having my work featured.
I was born in this hospital 29 years ago, as were most of my six siblings, and my own three children. Growing up in Rockland this was our community hospital. We hoped not to need it too much, but nonetheless felt connected to it.
I am eagerly awaiting the final steps of delivering and having this artwork hung. I hope new moms, dads, and all who see them will smile and enjoy as they see these images of sweet little babies.
